GILLES DELEUZE LA MUSIQUE ET LES MUSICIENS.
Gilles Deleuze est l'un des très rares philosophes de ce siècle récemment clos à avoir écrit sur la musique. Ce qui n'est pas tout à fait exact puisque les deux livres où il est le plus question de musique, "Mille plateaux" (1980), et "Qu'est-ce que la philosophie ?" (1991), ont été écrits à quatre mains avec Félix Guattari. La difficulté de ces textes tient à ce que la musique n'y est pas abordée, au moins pas immédiatement pour elle même, mais à partir de ce que Deleuze et Guattari appellent les "devenirs" et en premier lieu un certain "devenir musique". Quelle philosophie de la musique Deleuze (et Guattari) propose-t-il ? De quelles musiques et de quelles ouvres s'est-il emparé et de quelle manière ? Quel rôle joue la musique, et spécialement le concept de ritournelle, dans le dispositif philosophique de "Mille plateaux" ? Gilles Deleuze a-t-il suscité une musique ou une nouvelle manière de penser et de composer la musique ? Ses concepts musicaux ont-ils une réalité et un contenu musicologique ? Peut-on les utiliser afin de comprendre, voir d'analyser les ouvres musicales ?
1) Lundi : La philosophie de la musique de Gilles Deleuze : ritournelle et répétition. Avec la participation de Elie During et Pierre Sauvanet.
2) Mardi : La philosophie de la musique de Gilles Deleuze. Avec la participation de Jacques Rancière.
3) Mercredi : Deleuze à l'épreuve des musicologues : En quoi les concepts de Deleuze éclairent-ils notre écoute de la musique? Avec la participation de Jacques Amblard et Danielle Cohen-Lévinas.
4) Jeudi : La philosophie et les compositeurs. Avec la participation de Pascale Criton.
5) Vendredi : Les musiciens électroniques lisent Deleuze. Avec la participation de Richard Pinhas, et des témoignages de musiciens électroniques.

==> this special thing with Deleuze being kinda tested by musicologists (or whatever it's called) was aired 2 years ago. I found the programme on the net.

Hylas and the Nymphs- Hylas was the beautiful arms-bearer for Hercules, and well beloved by him. When the Argonaut's ship landed on the island of Cios, Hylas was sent to search for fresh water. While searching for water, he was seen by the nymphs, who also fell in love with him. Enchanted by his beauty, they lured him into the water and he was never seen again.

This is one of my favorit painting from the Pre-raphaelite periode.It was made by John William Waterhouse in 1986 and it's called : Hylas and the Nymphs; and this man is for me one for the best peinter from the Victorian years.Let's see by your self the beauty .
